Overview

GetPaid is designed to make it easy to accept payments on your site. The framework provides a simple way to get started with that, and a rich structure for extending usage for specific needs.

GetPaid is in development, so features are changing. This document describes the latest version of the product. For more information, you can see our release plans, download the product, browse the latest code and try it!

General features of the product include:

Plone integration

  • GetPaid works on Plone 3.x (Plone 2.5 supported through 0.6.2 release)

Content Integration

  • Make any content in your site payable. A flexible approach that allows you to:
    • Collect donations on your site
    • Sell items in a simple store (ex. shippable items)
    • Make content "pay to publish" (ie job postings, ads, applications)*. See example.
    • Details of any "buyable" object show in a portlet
    • See future extensions...
Store Management
  • Create discounts (ex. Buy x get 1 free)
  • Use keywords to create categories and subcategories
Shopping Cart
    • Add items, review cart
    • Cart shows in portlet
    • Configurable to allow/disallow anonymous checkouts
    • Automatically calculate store discounts (set a number of items that generates a % or flat discount)

    • Authorize.net (with US banks), on-site and off-site processing
    • Ogone (European) for asynchronous payment processing
    • Google Checkout (simple integration, US and UK merchants only)
